When you say men are programmed with internalized misogyny, does this not necessarily include black men? Can that programming not include, say, popular music, street culture, etc.?
I feel as if we may be talking about largely the same people. If you go and look at the crime statistics which tell you that it’s mainly men committing violent/sexual assault, it should also give you a demographic breakdown based on race.
The idea behind egalitarianism isn’t that these patterns don’t exist, it’s that we collectively agree to ignore them as part of the social contract, so that lawful individuals don’t get lumped in.
What’s happening here, actually, is that you don’t recognize your bigotry as bigotry because it has a direct experiential foundation. It’s based on experiences from your own life, and you probably imagine racism does not also grow from an experiential foundation, but that racists are brainwashed or just wake up one day and decide to be evil for no reason.
