Why is it the first resort of upset Christians to assume total ignorance of anybody saying anything at all contrary to their beliefs? Do you realize what deep, intense narcissism that reveals?
I had six years of private Christian education during which time morning Bible readings, reflection essays and lessons in exegesis were part of my daily life. I am not ignorant of theology just because I am saying things your pastor won’t tell you.
They are not merely my opinions either, if you bother to do more than skim you may notice the citations are university history, religion and anthropology departments better qualified than either of us on this topic.
